Transforming dentistry with robotics

Experienced surgeons, engineers, and innovators committed to advancing dental implant surgery

Mission

Our story

Founded in 2009, Neocis® manufactures and markets Yomi®, the first and only FDA-cleared robotic system for dental surgery. Our revolutionary platform assists clinicians throughout all phases of implant placement, augmenting their surgical expertise, so they can operate with confidence and efficiency.

Neocis is committed to building visionary technologies that help dental professionals deliver life-changing patient care. Our team collaborates closely with implant clinicians around the country to better understand their needs and challenges in the operatory — and this is reflected in every solution we bring to market. Neocis is accredited and has an A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau.

How we got here

From a single vision to transform dental surgery, Neocis has grown into a leader in surgical robotics. Each milestone marks our commitment to precision and patient care.

2008

Neocis co-founders Alon Mozes and Juan Salcedo, principal engineers at pioneering orthopedic robotics company MAKO Surgical at the time, see an untapped opportunity to bring advanced robotics to the field of dentistry. They begin designing a prototype, which they will later name “Yomi” after a close friend and dentist who is integral to their early success.

2009

Neocis is founded in Miami.

2012

Alon and Juan hire their first employee, who is still with the company to this day. Neocis closes its first round of funding. Fred Moll, founder of Intuitive Surgical and several other medical robotics companies, is the lead investor.

2019

1,000 robot-assisted implant cases performed. Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine becomes the first dental school in the country to install a Yomi system and integrate robot-guided implantology into its training curriculum.
